Step 1: Explore
Get clear on what you're selling and why it matters to your customer.
Before you build a single advertisement or write a single word, answer these:
What EXACT product or service are you promoting?
(e.g., Water Heater Replacement, Drain Cleaning, Spring AC Tune-Up)
Why now? Is there a seasonal reason or pain point?
(Winter, savings, energy efficiency, health, etc.)
What makes this offer better or different than competitors?
(Price, speed, warranty, cleaner work, reputation, financing?)
What's the goal of this campaign?
(More calls? Online bookings? Membership sales?)
Also consider who this is for (New homeowners? Busy parents? Retirees? Realtors?), what assets you already have (Photos, reviews, before/after shots, past promo copy?), and your deadline to launch this campaign (Be honest—pick a date and stick to it.)
Step 2: Write
Write the core message you'll use across every channel.
This is where you nail the hook, the offer, and the call to action. Start rough. Make it real.
What's the headline or hook that'll get attention?
(E.g., "Hot Water Today or It's Free")
What's the actual offer?
(Discount? Bonus? Urgency? Guarantee?)
What do you want people to do next?
(Call? Book online? Text you?)
What objections do people usually have—and how do you squash them in writing?
(Too expensive, not urgent, don't trust contractors, etc.)
Can AI help you draft faster? (Yes. Use it.)
You'll reuse this writing in: Emails, Texts, Landing pages, Social media posts, Print flyers or door hangers
Step 3: Design
Turn your offer into something visual and scroll-stopping.
People scroll fast. Great visuals = more eyeballs = more clicks = more leads.
Design Needs
Do you need a social post design, flyer, banner, postcard, or video thumbnail?
Visual Assets
Do you have a solid before/after photo you can use?
Offer Visualization
Can you turn your offer into a visual? (e.g., checklist, step-by-step graphic, diagram)
Tools & Branding
What tools are you using? (Canva, Gamma, SketchWow, etc.)
Does it match your brand—colors, logo, tone?
If design's not your thing—delegate it. But don't skip it.
Step 4: Record (if needed)
Add personality with quick video or audio.
Video builds trust fast—especially in your line of work.
Trust Building
Would a short video from you boost trust or explain the offer better? (15–60 sec selfie videos work great)
Service Walkthrough
Do you need a walkthrough of the service or customer result?
Alternative Formats
Can you use a screen recording or testimonial voiceover?
Planning
Who's recording it? What's the script or key points? Where will it be used? (Social? Website? Ads?)
Optional—but powerful.
Step 5: Format
Put all the pieces together in the right places. This is where it becomes real. You're packaging it for launch.
1
Landing Page Assessment
Do you need a landing page? Or is it just a phone number + text CTA?
2
Customer Journey
Where are you sending people—website, calendar, or contact form?
3

4

Hit go and promote it with confidence. Let the world know. And don't just post once—promote it like it matters.
1
Choose Your Channels
Where are you posting it? Facebook, Instagram, Google, email, Nextdoor, flyers?
2
Consider Paid Promotion
Are you running any paid ads or boosted posts to expand your reach?
3
Plan Your Follow-Up
Don't let leads sit for hours—speed wins. Who's in charge of responding to inquiries?
4
Track Your Results
How will you measure if it's working? Set up simple tracking to measure success.
Final note: Don't overthink it. The best campaigns are clear, fast, and consistent.
